It was an amazing experience to watch this Barn Owl hunt in daylight. Usually nocturnal, this owl was provided a stunning show as it hunted over a field as the sun set. Barn Owls have great low-light vision, and some of the best hearing in the entire animal word. Their hearing is so sensitive, that they can listen to their rodent prey moving around deep underground. However, their prey will never hear them coming, as they have specialized feathers that enable them to fly completely silently.
