My favourite constellation in the night sky is Orion. It’s a beautiful sight to the naked eye, but hidden beyond the limit of human vision is the Orion Molecular Cloud complex, a collection of glowing and reflective gases located around 1000 to 1400 light years away from Earth. Under the dark skies of Joshua Tree National Park, I was recently able to reveal the breathtaking details of the complex with 30 minutes of stacked exposure time, composed at 50mm over the unique Joshua Tree silhouettes which the region is so famous for.
