In the foothills of the Northern Rocky Mountains of British Columbia, lie some incredible wetlands. On a trip to this region, I spent a few days camping next to a large wetland in the boreal forest. This wetland is incredibly unique, as it is fed by the water from a natural hot spring. This keeps the wetland snow and ice free year-round, and as a result it supports a unique diversity of life unlike any other wetland in the region. As a result of the lush environment, the wetland is a favourite place for Moose. During the three days I spent camping by the wetland, this mother Moose and her calf shared many intimate moments, as seen in this image. Here, I went for a composition that shows the wetland and its green foliage, providing some context for this beautiful scene.
