Elected the official bird of my home city of Vancouver, Canada, the Anna’s Hummingbird is a common sight throughout city parks and neighborhoods. However, getting a good photo of these tiny and fast moving birds can be difficult. By spending several weeks making near daily visits to my local park, I was able to determine the favourite perch locations of the local hummingbirds, and captured this moment as a male preened his feathers.
